Do It Yourself

book imageDIY is literality doing it yourself

You’re not waiting on nor asking anyone to do, buy, replace, fix or supply you with anything.  It’s telling yourself that you can do it yourself,  yes it requires some effort and time but with anything it can be done. That it is, if you have the motivation to do so. Take for example the old jeans on the floor at the back of the closet. The decision about what to do with them, repair the jeans or recycling them by making a one of a kind bag out of them . It takes a little creativity and an open imagination.

I fell in love with DIY as a small child growing up in a small country town in Texas with my grandmother. Mrs. Lois Christopher was a DIY country woman who attempted to do everything by herself.  It was educational, positive and fun, making my own outdoor tent and playhouse. I helped build fences, chicken coops and tool sheds, not to forget painting. So naturally I followed in her footsteps and I must say DIY has worked well for me as a wife and mother over the years. It’s the simple things in life that are most important. The time and effort you put in, makes change and happiness in the form of a bond. It feels good to do as well as give all while your saving.

That also applies for other areas like your home, some repurposing here and there in the kitchen or making new decorations for a sexier master bedroom. Which is a great DIY relationship and intimacy booster. Don’t believe me, try it for yourselves ladies and gentlemen and make sure you let me know, okay?  Not only that DIY saves you money and your recycling, now that’s my idea of going green.  Making your own make up, soaps, candles, art, storage, jams, breads, sauces and more. You tubers , singers, actors, photographers, authors and so many others can DIY their own recording spaces, home day cares,  photo shoots, office spaces, meeting spaces and even chill out space.  Forget the sky, the mind and it’s imagination is a very open ended limit. The children need a new playroom or classroom, new baby, kids leaving the nest? DIY something amazing with or for someone and for much less than retail and have a new hobby, personal time or enjoy some creative moments with the kids or friends.

I will be sharing some of my DIY crafts with pictures and videos for you soon. Check me out on You Tube, Twitter, Instagram, Vigo and Facebook
